PRA, PITB, WB to collaborate on digital database development

LAHORE: A delegation of the World Bank on Saturday met Chairman Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) Moazzam Iqbal Sipra at the PRA headquarters to discuss future strategies for enhancing transparency and efficiency in the province’s tax collection system. According to the PRA, detailed discussions were held on aligning Punjab’s tax collection framework with modern-day requirements. It was agreed on the meeting that the Punjab Revenue Authority, Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), and the World Bank will jointly work on developing an integrated digital database. Members of the World Bank delegation stated that the Bank would provide technical and financial support to strengthen the digital infrastructure of PRA’s Electronic Invoice Monitoring System (e-IMS) and its overall database.
