In her message on the ‘World Day for Epidemic Preparedness,’ the chief minister emphasises that timely readiness against epidemics not only saves lives but also protects economies and societies. She notes that the Covid-19 pandemic highlights the importance of sustained commitment and collective efforts to safeguard public health and wellbeing at the global level. Maryam Nawaz Sharif states that the Punjab government is enhancing the capacity of the health sector and that significant work has been carried out to strengthen healthcare services.
