PNP to local execs: Take lead in preventing firecracker-related injuries

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Sunday urged barangay officials to help prevent injuries from firecrackers ahead of New Year’s Eve. “Barangay leaders are at the forefront of ensuring that local festivities remain incident-free. We urge them to be proactive in safeguarding their constituents, especially against the use of illegal firecrackers and firearms during New Year celebrations,” Acting PNP Chief Lt. Gen.
