PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — A farmer, who also worked as a miner, was killed while another was injured after part of a tunnel in a mining site collapsed at Purok 5, Barangay Licabang, Dumingag town, Zamboanga del Sur, around 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27. Family members identified the body of Eddie Tunggian, 44, a resident of Barangay Licabang, while authorities rushed the other individual, who suffered severe injuries, to a hospital in Ozamiz City.
