12 Arrested Across Bahrain With Drugs Worth Over BHD 227,000

The Ministry of Interior announced that the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, part of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence, has arrested 12 people of different nationalities, aged between 23 and 49, for possession of drugs weighing around 17 kilograms and valued at over BHD 227,000. The arrests were made in several separate cases in cooperation with the Customs Affairs department. The authorities acted quickly after receiving information about the incidents, conducting investigations, gathering evidence, and identifying the suspects. The seized drugs were secured, and legal procedures have been taken, with the cases referred to the Public Prosecution. The Criminal Media Section of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence emphasized the importance of community participation in raising awareness about drug prevention.
