PSL-26 to start from March 23: Wasim Akram named brand ambassador for PSL-2026

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced that the former test cricketer Wasim Akram has been appointed as brand ambassador for PSL-2026 which will get underway from March 23, 2026. “The date for the PSL-26 has been decided with the consent of all teams,” Naqvi said, adding: “The PCB itself will operate Multan Sultans team during coming PSL season and after the end of PSL 2026, PCB will auction Multan Sultan team.” Talking to media outside Gaddafi Stadium, Naqvi said that Pakistan does not want to drag politics in sports. He also made it clear that all issues with India on sports will be dealt with on equal footings. “If Indian cricketers were not interested in handshake, Pakistan cricket team will do the same,” he said. Mohsin Naqvi said work on state-of-the-art center at Cricket Academy will begin soon.
