MANILA, Philippines – Rain showers and thunderstorms are forecast nationwide on Monday due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan,” shear line and easterlies, according to the state weather bureau. In its 5 a.m. update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the northeast monsoon will trigger rain showers in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, except Sorsogon.
