Finns Party loses court case over anti-immigrant campaign posters

The Supreme Court of Finland has rejected an appeal by the Finns Party and its Helsinki district, ending a legal process over the removal of the party’s 2021 municipal election advertisements from public spaces. The court’s decision confirms earlier rulings by the Helsinki District Court and the Court of Appeal, both of which found no wrongdoing in the actions taken by city officials and the advertising company involved. The adverts in question were withdrawn from bus stops and other transit spaces in Helsinki shortly before the municipal elections in 2021.
