MANILA, Philippines — The acting Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., said on Monday that he deployed more officers to “vulnerable” locations even amid a unilateral ceasefire declared by the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP).
