A rock-hewn mikveh from the time of the Second Beis Hamikdash was uncovered during excavations beneath the Kosel Plaza in Yerushalayim. The mikveh was found beneath a destruction layer dating back around 2,000 years, providing new insight into the events surrounding the Churban of Yerushalayim at that time.
