"The funeral for Libyan Army Chief of Staff of the Government of National Unity Mohamed Ali al-Haddad and two others took place in Misrata on Sunday. it was attended by Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, senior government officials, and military leaders from the government based in Tripoli. Footage shows coffins on the ground as mourners took part in funeral prayers during the ceremony. The bodies arrived in the capital on Saturday. Dbeibah confirmed that the investigation into the plane crash last week, during takeoff from Ankara, was ongoing. Al-Haddad and four officials were returning from an official visit to Ankara. The PM called it a 'tragic and painful accident'. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered his condolences, confirming that investigations into the circumstances of the accident had begun and that relevant Turkish ministries would provide updates on their progress. In a statement posted on its official social media on Wednesday, the Libyan Embassy in Ankara said a committee appointed by Libya’s Ministries of Defence and Interior had arrived in the Turkish capital to follow up on the investigation. Libya has two rival governments; the one based in Tripoli, and the administration of Prime Minister Ossama Hammad in the east of the country."
