Trilateral tensions? - China hosts Cambodia, Thailand FMs as Thai side claims ceasefire broken by 250 UAVs

"Foreign ministers from Cambodia and Thailand met with their Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in the city of Yuxi on Monday, after the two neighbours agreed to a 72-hour ceasefire following deadly clashes along their disputed border. Footage shows Cambodian Deputy Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn and Thai Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow shaking hands, with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi standing between them, following the trilateral meeting. The talks, held in southwestern China near the contested frontier, came after Bangkok and Phnom Penh agreed on a 72-hour truce, dubbed 'a test of sincerity'. The truce was aimed at ending weeks of fighting that killed more than 100 people and forced the evacuation of hundreds of thousands on both sides of the border. In a statement released by his ministry, Wang Yi described the discussions as 'beneficial and constructive,' saying an 'important consensus' had been reached. A joint communique cited by Chinese media said both sides agreed to rebuild political mutual trust, reverse the deterioration in relations and safeguard regional peace. The meeting comes as Thailand officially accused Cambodia of 'violating' the ceasefire agreement. The country's Royal Army issued a statement saying that Cambodia 'breached' the agreement after launching more than 250 UAVs into the territory of the kingdom.  The Foreign Minister of Cambodia, Prak Sokhonn, reportedly downplayed the incident, describing it as a 'small issue.'  The initial 72-hour truce is expected to expire on Tuesday at 12:00 local time."
