Volta Regional Minister James Gunu has called for calm and reconciliation following the shooting incident at the Ho Central Mosque on Friday, December 26, which left at least 10 people injured, two in critical condition. Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsnight, he said the regional security council has engaged both factions involved in the dispute, urging them to give peace a chance. “The regional security council met with both factions this morning, and we caution them and edge them to give peace a chance. What happened at the genesis of this clash is something that should not have happened at all,” Mr Gunu stated.
