KARACHI: The city is expected to see a brief spell of light rain due to a westerly wave that is entering the country, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday. In its latest outlook, the PMD said the westerly system is likely to affect western Balochistan first and then spread to central and upper parts of Pakistan. Under its influence, isolated light rain or drizzle may occur in several districts of Sindh, including the Karachi Division, on Tuesday, December 30. The PMD added that dry weather with cool to cold nights is likely to prevail in the rest of Sindh province during this period. Tuesday, December 30: The weather is expected to remain partly cloudy, with chances of light rain or drizzle during the evening or night. Temperatures are forecast to range between 12–14°C at night and 25–27°C during the day. Wednesday, December 31: Partly cloudy conditions are expected to continue, with a possibility of light rain or drizzle during the early morning hours. Minimum temperatures are likely to remain between 12–14°C, while maximum temperatures may range from 25–27°C. Copyright Business Recorder, 2025
