Four dead in Swat Motorway mishap in Malakand

PESHAWAR: Four people died and 14 other injured when a passenger van overturned at Pul Chuki, near Chakdara Interchange in district Malakand on Swat Motorway on Monday. Police said that the tragic incident occurred when a passenger vehicle went out of control of the driver and fell down a bridge. The passenger coach was coming from Mardan to Swat. Initially, the death of three commuters confirmed in the incident. But, later another one also succumbed to his injuries. On receiving, the report of the incident, the teams of Rescue 1122 and local volunteers rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Batkhela. The condition of several other injured was stated to be critical, which raise the apprehensions of increase in the deaths. The critically injured were shifted to Peshawar and Swat.
