House to go paperless, adopt blockchain in 2026 — Speaker Dy

MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives plans to adopt blockchain technology starting next year as part of its efforts to modernize and improve transparency in the chamber’s processes, House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III said. The Isabela lawmaker announced the plan in a video message posted on the House’s official social media accounts on Tuesday, a day after Congress adjourned following the ratification of the P6.793-trillion national budget for 2026. Under the plan, Dy said, the House would move toward a paperless system and use blockchain technology to secure legislative records and transactions.
