"A sea of vibrant purple and pink enveloped Nanning Garden Expo Park in southern China, as clusters of purple trumpet trees burst into unique winter blossoms. Footage captured on Tuesday shows park visitors taking in the violet clouds of delicate petals, and taking photos against the breathtaking scenery. The flower clusters on can also be seen on loaded branches, swaying gently in the breeze. “The flowers look pretty,” tourist Qiangwei commented. “I made an appointment with friends to come here and take photos today. I feel pretty good here, the scenery is great, and the weather today is also very comfortable.” Meanwhile, the blossom's gentle beauty had a miraculous effect on some of the park's elderly visitors. “We are in our 60s, but coming here we feel like we've become more youthful and energetic,” Dong Chaozhi shared. “I think this purple flower is very vibrant and pretty,” The mild subtropical climate of Nanning creates the rare phenomenon of ‘winter blossoms’, allowing certain plants to bloom that would be unable to do so in colder regions. While the rest of China experiences chillier winter scenes, Nanning enjoys this lively and romantic flower season. Hundreds of purple trumpet trees, or Jacarandas, are expected to continue blooming until mid-February, with late December to mid-January being the prime viewing window."
