MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon is affecting Northern and Central Luzon while the easterlies prevail over the rest of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Wednesday. It said that Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to a shear line, with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains. Visayas, Palawan, and the rest of the Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the easterlies, which may also trigger flooding or landslides in vulnerable areas. Mindanao and the remaining parts of Mimaropa will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought about by the easterlies, with possible flash floods or landslides during severe weather conditions. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon, Pagasa said.
