Greek Hoteliers Gift 50 Families Free All-Inclusive Island Vacations to Start 2026

TheHellenic Hoteliers Federation is marking the arrival of 2026 by launching a nationwide contest that will award 50 families free all-inclusive island vacations. The initiative, unveiled on New Year’s Eve, seeks to support domestic travel and offer relief to households facing persistent cost-of-living pressures. The prize packages include five-night stays at all-inclusive hotels and round-trip ferry tickets, complete with cabin accommodations and vehicle transport. The federation, known by its Greek acronym POX, stated the campaign is designed to promote family bonding and social solidarity. “Family is the most precious destination,” the group said in a statement accompanying the launch. To enter, participants must post a New Year’s wish in the comments of the federation’s official social media campaign post. Submissions will be accepted until Jan. 15, with the winners selected in a draw on Feb. 2. The promotional effort features television presenter Giorgos Lianos. In the campaign video, Mr. Lianos encourages Greeks to participate, highlighting the sector's intent to link tourism revenue with social responsibility. The move comes as Greek tourism officials look to sustain momentum from a strong 2025 season while addressing the affordability of vacations for local residents. By covering significant travel costs like ferry fares, the federation aims to make island getaways accessible to a broader demographic this year. Διαβάστε περισσότερα στο iefimerida.gr
