Nazareno thanksgiving procession draws 8,000 crowd — MPD

MANILA, Philippines — The thanksgiving procession for Jesus Nazareno, held from Monday night until early Tuesday morning, drew around 8,000 devotees, according to the Manila Police District (MPD). Quiapo Church previously said that, unlike the annual Traslacion where devotees pull the carriage carrying the image of Jesus Nazareno, the thanksgiving procession would use a truck to move around the community. In a police report, the MPD said the procession began at 11:33 p.m. on Monday from Quiapo Church and concluded when the image returned to the basilica at 1:10 a.m. on Tuesday.
