Robots meet retail - Unitree launches first physical interactive store in Beijing to deliver hands-on fun!

"In a landmark initiative to connect advanced robotics with everyday consumers, Unitree Robotics has unveiled its inaugural offline experience store at JD MALL in Beijing's bustling Chaoyang District. This strategic collaboration with JD.com, announced on Wednesday, symbolises a crucial move towards making state-of-the-art robots physically accessible for hands-on engagement and direct purchase. Footage captured from the launch event on Wednesday highlights the store showcasing Unitree's flagship products, especially the agile Unitree Go2 quadruped robot dog and the sophisticated G1 humanoid robot, both of which are sure to captivate visitors. Chief Marketing Officer of Unitree, Wang Qixin, explained that the relatively low price points will allow customers to experience the products in store and take them home if they wish. “Today we're showcasing a static display, and we want to share our philosophy: our robots are designed for versatile customisation. You can transform them into any form based on your creativity,” Wang added. Influencer Wang Jin said the opening was a ‘major move’. “You can actually see and touch them... Robots are no longer suspended in mid-air, confined to TV screens or the internet as some distant, unattainable black technology. They've truly entered our lives as consumer-grade products,” the influencer added. This showroom-style store provides an immersive, interactive experience, allowing visitors to operate the robots in realistic simulated scenarios under the guidance of engineers, from navigating home environments to executing simple tasks. Customers can make purchases in-store or through JD.com's online platform, with options for immediate in-store pickup or home delivery."
