Foreign Minister Dar to visit Beijing for strategic dialogue scheduled for Jan 4

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar will visit China on January 4, 2026, to co-chair the 7th round of the Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue, the Foreign Office said on Wednesday . The visit is being undertaken at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China and Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs. According to the Foreign Office, the Strategic Dialogue is the highest consultative mechanism between Pakistan and China, providing a structured platform to review the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation, as well as regional and international developments of mutual interest. The Foreign Office said the visit is part of regular high-level exchanges between the two countries and reflects their shared resolve to further broaden and deepen the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership. It added that both sides would reaffirm their mutual commitment to regional peace, stability, and sustainable development.
