Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, during which the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the discussion was described as warm and cordial. Prime Minister Shehbaz conveyed his respectful regards and good wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Saudi Crown Prince. The prime minister thanked the Saudi leadership for its continued warmth and affection towards Pakistan, noting that the long-standing fraternal ties between the two countries had reached new heights in recent months. Both leaders also exchanged views on the regional situation and ongoing developments. Prime Minister Shehbaz underscored the importance of unity and harmony within the Muslim Ummah amid prevailing regional challenges, and emphasized the need to maintain peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy. Expressing Pakistan’s complete solidarity with the Kingdom, the prime minister reiterated Islamabad’s commitment to regional peace. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz for the call and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s desire to expand cooperation with Pakistan across all areas of mutual interest. He also expressed his intention to undertake an official visit to Pakistan in the coming year. Earlier in the days, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan , Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, called on PM Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House. During the meeting, the prime minister conveyed his respectful regards and best wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Expressing satisfaction over the “excellent state” of Pakistan-Saudi relations, Shehbaz reiterated his government’s resolve to deepen the long-standing fraternal relationship between the two countries.
