LPG price increased by Rs10.68

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has notified an increase in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices by Rs 10.68 per kg effective from January 2026. According to the OGRA notification, the price of LPG has increased by Rs10.68 per kilogram, taking the new rate to Rs219.67 per kilogram. In December, the price stood at Rs209 per kilogram. Following the increase, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder has gone up by Rs 126.09. The price of an 11.8-kg domestic cylinder has been fixed at Rs 2,592.19, compared to Rs 2,466.10 in December. The regulator states that the LPG producer price is linked with the Saudi Aramco-CP and the US dollar exchange rate. As compared to the previous month, Saudi Aramco-CP has increased by 6.74 percent. The price is up by USD33 for January to USD522 as compared with the December price of USD489. The average Dollar exchange rate has decreased by 0.14 percent resulting in an increase in LPG consumer price by Rs.126.09/11.8 kg cylinder (5.11 percent).
