RAK goes for the record! - 'World's largest single firework launch' at the centre of UAE's stunning NYE celebrations

"Ras Al Khaimah attempted to break the record for the 'world's largest single firework launch' during its New Year's celebrations on Wednesday evening, as the United Arab Emirates welcomed the arrival of 2026. Footage shows spectators looking on as a spectacular laser drone show and fireworks display lit up the skies over the emirate. The light show reportedly featured more than 2,300 drones, including pyro-drones and laser-equipped units. The fireworks spanned six kilometers, stretching from Marjan Island to Al Hamra. At the time of publication, Guinness World Records adjudicators had not yet confirmed whether Ras Al Khaimah successfully broke the record. Ras Al Khaimah already holds 14 Guinness World Records from its previous New Year's Eve fireworks displays, including titles for 'Longest chain of aquatic floating fireworks' and 'Longest straight-line drone display.'"
