Dozens killed in New Year’s Eve bar explosion at Swiss ski resort

Dozens of people were killed and more than 100 injured after an explosion and fire tore through a crowded bar during New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana. Swiss police said the blast occurred at about 1:30am local time at Le Constellation, a popular bar in the centre of the resort in Valais canton. The venue was packed with partygoers celebrating the arrival of 2026.
