Hamas calls for absentee funerals for its killed senior commanders In a statement issued on its Telegram channel, Hamas called on Palestinians and Muslims worldwide to perform funeral prayers (Janazah) for the following senior commanders of the Al Qassam Brigades, killed during Israel's genocide in Gaza: Mohammed Sinwar, Chief of Staff and the movement's de facto leader, following the killing of Mohammed Deif; Mohammed Shabanah, Commander of the Rafah Brigade; Hikmat Al-Essa, Commander of weapons and combat services units; Raed Saad, Commander of the manufacturing unit; Huzayfa Al-Khalout, former spokesperson for the Brigades, also known as Abu Obeida, whose real identity and death were confirmed by Hamas earlier this week.
