Morgan Ayawine, the General Secretary of the Industrial and Commercial Workers’ Union (ICU), Ghana, has urged workers across the country to embrace diligence, productivity, and collaboration as Ghana enters 2026. In a New Year message addressed to ICU members and Ghanaian workers in general, he stressed that active participation in national economic activities is vital for growth and development. Focusing on the need for enhanced productivity, the ICU leader said: “As workers and contributors to nation-building, we must not rest on our oars. We are called upon to work diligently toward increased productivity at the enterprise level, which remains a prerequisite for economic growth and national development.”
