MANILA, Philippines – A rainy Friday is expected nationwide due to the northeast monsoon (amihan), shear line and easterlies, according to the state weather bureau. In its 5 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said cloudy skies, rain, with possible flooding and landslides brought by the northeast monsoon may be experienced in the following areas: The monsoon will also bring light rains to the Ilocos region, Pagasa said.
