ILOILO CITY—Police have requested a paraffin test on the partner of Dueñas, Iloilo Vice Mayor Aimee Paz Lamasan, as they continue to determine whether her fatal gunshot wound was caused by an accident. Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) director Police Colonel Kim Legada said on Friday that investigators have yet to confirm if Lamasan’s death resulted from the accidental discharge of her firearm, as initially reported. “We are still gathering evidence and facts to determine what really transpired—whether it was an accident or otherwise,” Legada told the Inquirer.
