Holiday season road crash injuries up 82% - DOH

MANILA, Philippines – The number of holiday season road crash injuries in 2025 rose by 82 percent compared to the same period in 2024, Department of Health (DOH) reported on Friday. Citing data from 10 sentinel hospitals, DOH recorded 1,113 total cases of road injuries from December 21, 2025 to January 2, 2026 at 5 a.m. The DOH said 787 or 71 percent of the cases involved motorcycles.
