TACLOBAN CITY — A retired United States Navy veteran died of heart failure at Basey District Hospital in Samar on New Year’s Day, authorities said. The Police Regional Office 8 (PRO-8) reported that the victim, identified as alias “Joe,” 59, a resident of Brgy. Caluwayan, Marabut, Samar, was rushed to the hospital after experiencing sleep apnea symptoms in the morning.
