MANDAUE CITY, Cebu – The celebration of Christmas and New Year in Mandaue City was generally peaceful, with no recorded incidents related to the use of firecrackers and fireworks. In a statement, Police Lieutenant Colonel Mercy Villaro, spokesperson of the Mandaue City Police Office attributed the peaceful situation  to the comprehensive deployment of MCPO personnel, the continuous conduct of Oplan Bandilyo, and sustained information dissemination in all six police stations.
