Ministry of Home Affairs restores Rs 100 crore project approval powers to Ladakh LG

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has reinstated powers for Ladakh's lieutenant governor. This allows appraisal and approval of projects up to Rs 100 crore. This decision reverses a previous withdrawal of these powers. The lieutenant governor will consult with the Finance Secretary. These delegated powers cannot be further re-delegated. Details of approved proposals will be submitted quarterly.
