MANILA, Philippines — The situation of around 800 Filipinos in Iran is closely being monitored by the Philippine government following protests in their host country.  In a statement on Friday, the Department of Foreign Affairs said it was coordinating with the Philippine embassy in Tehran regarding the matter.  “The DFA is closely monitoring the situation and the conditions of the estimated 800 Filipinos in Iran following the protests in the host country.
