Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the 104th Foundation Day celebrations of Bhupal Noble’s University in Udaipur, Rajasthan, stressing that education must go beyond academic knowledge. He said any system that fails to instil humility, moral values and strong character cannot be considered successful. Warning against disturbing social trends, the Defence Minister highlighted the rise of white-collar terrorism, where highly educated individuals misuse their skills against society and the nation. He cited instances where professionals, including doctors, were involved in criminal and terror activities. Rajnath Singh underlined that education must shape responsible citizens, not just degree holders. He called for a value-based education system that nurtures ethics, integrity and a deep sense of national responsibility alongside intellectual growth.
