MANILA, Philippines — Crime rates across the country dropped by 12.4 percent in 2025, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Saturday. In a statement citing data from its Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management, the PNP said it recorded 35,717 incidents of focus crimes in 2025, down from 40,771 in 2024. Focus crimes include murder, homicide, physical injury, rape, robbery, theft, and carnapping.
