CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) welcomed 2026 by releasing 88 Olive Ridley turtle hatchlings in Calintaan town, Occidental Mindoro, in what officials described as a symbol of hope and a renewed commitment to marine conservation.
