Gill to lead India in ODIs against New Zealand

NEW DELHI: Indian selectors on Saturday named Shubman Gill to lead the team for the upcoming three-match New Zealand ODI series, with Shreyas Iyer included subject to fitness. Mohammed Siraj is also back in the 15-man squad, but Hardik Pandya is being rested. The team blends experience with youth, with the selectors retaining a core of established performers alongside promising talents. India’s vice-captain Shreyas Iyer is included subject to fitness clearance, reflecting ongoing injury management ahead of a packed international calendar. The tour then switches to a five-match T20I series.
