ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday congratulated the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and the nation on the successful flight test of the locally developed Taimoor weapon system. In a statement, the premier lauded the PAF for the successful trial and paid tribute to Chief of Defence Forces and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, and the scientists and engineers involved in the development of the missile system. He praised the PAF’s professional competence, dedication and unwavering commitment to strengthening Pakistan’s defence capabilities, saying the induction of the Taimoor weapon system would further bolster the country’s security. He said the successful flight test reflected the technical maturity, innovation and growing self-reliance of Pakistan’s defence industry, adding that the achievement underscored the PAF’s operational preparedness and technological edge in pursuit of national security objectives.
