LAHORE: The Punjab government will provide modern municipal services in villages under the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s Model Village Programme, and in the first phase, 469 villages of 10 divisions of Punjab have been selected. Punjab Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique said while chairing a meeting held here on Saturday to review the progress on the model village programme and the Lahore Development Programme (LDP). Punjab Local Government Secretary Shakeel Ahmed Mian, Special Secretary Development Asia Gul, Special Secretary Local Government Arshad Baig and Additional Secretary Development Ahmer Kaifi were also present.
