"The Egyptian Committee for Gaza Relief has established a relief camp for displaced Palestinian families in the Netzarim area of the southern Gaza Strip. The camp, which can accommodate up to 15,000 tents along with essential service infrastructure, forms part of the committee’s ongoing efforts to support people affected by the conflict with humanitarian aid. Footage from Saturday shows rows of tents being erected by workers, with additional activities including the installation of water pipes to ensure access to clean water. “We are talking about 15,000 tents, which means 15,000 families. The Egyptian Committee for Gaza Relief will take responsibility for these families, providing health and food supplies, makeshift kitchens, schools, mosques, and medical clinics,” explained Mohamed Mansour, a spokesperson for the Egyptian Committee for Gaza Relief. He further emphasised that these camps are designed “to alleviate the ordeal of Palestinians who have had their homes destroyed during the Israeli war.” On November 11, the Egyptian Committee announced that it had begun leveling land in the Netzarim area, south of Gaza, in preparation for setting up the largest humanitarian shelter in the enclave, covering approximately 200 dunams. The initiative aims to “provide safe and dignified shelter for over 15,000 Palestinian families.” A ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, effective from Friday 10 October, forms part of a broader accord under the ‘20-point Trump Plan’. The plan calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities, the release of all hostages, both living and deceased, and the delivery of humanitarian aid."
