MANILA, Philippines — The shear line, northeast monsoon (amihan), and easterlies are expected to bring light to heavy rainfall across the country on Monday, Jan. 5, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said. Pagasa warned of scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line over the Visayas, the Bicol Region, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.
