Retired Gen. Poquiz arrested over inciting to sedition

MANILA, Philippines — Retired Air Force General Romeo Poquiz was arrested Monday at Ninoy Aquino International Airport over an inciting to sedition charge, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said. In a press briefing at Camp Crame, Acting PNP Chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said a warrant for Poquiz’s arrest was issued on Dec. 5, but he did not specify which court issued it.
