FUUAST to award three PhD, 13 MPhil, one MS degrees

KARACHI: The 72nd meeting of the Graduate and Research Management Council (GRMC) of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) was held under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Campus, Karachi. The meeting approved the award of higher academic degrees to the students from various departments. During the meeting, the award of PhD degrees was approved for three scholars; Khalil Ahmed Najmi son of Muhammad Ghaus and Shah Rizwan Ahmed son of Syed Sami Ahmed from the Department of Chemistry, and Farhan Ali son of Shamshad Ali from the Department of Mathematical Sciences. Similarly, the council approved the award of MPhil degrees to 13 students. From the Department of Chemistry, Yasmin Kanwal daughter of Muhammad Yameen was approved; from Biochemistry, Sehr Wijahat daughter of Qazi Wijahatullah Khattak and Arif son of Zain-ul-Abideen; from International Relations, Faiza daughter of Nafees Ahmed Siddiqui, Naila daughter of Liaquat Ali, Shakeel Ahmed son of Aurangzeb, Wahab-ud-Din Siddiqui son of Shehab-ud-Din Siddiqui, and Elia Zahra Zaidi daughter of Syed Muhammad Sarwar Zaidi; from the Department of Urdu, Inamullah son of Sanaullah Arain, Mehr-un-Nisa daughter of Sheikh Mehboob, and Muhammad Umar Farooq son of Muhammad Ishtiaq Rajput; from the Department of Arabic, Abdul Wali Barki son of Ahmed Ali Barki; and from the Department of Economics (Islamabad Campus), Anam Fatima daughter of Mazhar.
