MMFF 2025 extends theatrical run to January 14

The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) has extended the theatrical run of its eight entries until January 14, citing an “increase in audience turnout” with the return of cinemagoers from their holiday breaks.  This was confirmed by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Romando Artes via TV Patrol on its January 6 broadcast.  While the current gross is about P100 million short of last year’s overall box office turnout, Artes nonetheless said that the box office sales of seven of its entries surpassed the eight-digit mark, a “first time” for the annual film festival.
