At least five people were killed and 27 others injured on Wednesday when a passenger bus fell into a deep ravine near the Dhok Pathan area of Talagang, Aaj News reported. The accident occurred as the bus, travelling from Rawalpindi to Karachi, was forced to take an alternative route via G.T. Road due to the closure of the Motorway and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) routes amid heavy fog. Preliminary reports suggest the driver was unfamiliar with the treacherous mountainous terrain, leading the vehicle to veer off the road at Dhok Pathan.
