ILOILO CITY – The death of Dueñas, Iloilo Vice Mayor Aimee Paz Lamasan was due to accidental firing, Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla said on Wednesday. In a press briefing following his visit to the wake of the vice mayor, Remulla said Lamasan was a gun enthusiast with 10 registered firearms in her name. He said he had to personally come here and investigate the incident after the Philippine National Police bungled the investigation of the Cabral case, and the local police also committed a mistake in investigating the death of Lamasan.
