"India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar expressed concerns about recent developments in Venezuela during a speech in New Delhi on Wednesday, following US attacks in Caracas and the capture of President Nicolas Maduro. "We would really urge all the parties involved to now sit down and sort of come to a position which is in the interest of the well-being and the safety of the people of Venezuela," he said. "We would want Venezuela as a country with whom, over many, many years, we’ve had very good relations. So we would like, you know, the people to come out sort of well from whatever is the direction of events," he continued. These remarks were made during a meeting with Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Xavier Bettel, where the two leaders also discussed bilateral cooperation. Previously, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) had called for a peaceful resolution through diplomatic dialogue. In response to the situation, the MEA has also issued a travel advisory for Indian nationals in Venezuela, urging them to exercise extreme caution."
