COTABATO CITY, BARMM, Philippines — Police authorities on Tuesday, acting on a tip, unearthed from a vacant lot in Parang town, Maguindanao del Norte, boxes of cigarettes allegedly smuggled from Indonesia and Malaysia. Major Radzak Musa, municipal police chief of Parang, said the operation that led to the discovery of buried contraband was launched after an intelligence report and a tip from local residents were verified and counter-checked.
